Blessed with an abundance of imaginative local chefs and steeped in the farm-to-table movement, the culinary scene of the fertile Santa Ynez Valley is as tempting to visitors as the region’s world-class wines. Foodies from both near and far have even more reason to visit during the seven delicious days of Santa Ynez Valley Restaurant Week, scheduled for January 21-27.
Restaurant Week returns for an eighth consecutive year, and once again the event will entice food lovers with a once-a-year opportunity. For just $20.18 foodies can savor three-course tasting menus from some of the Valley’s top dining establishments—a rare value to celebrate the food and wine pairings that have made this region the gem of California Wine Country.
Representing each of the Santa Ynez Valley’s six distinct communities, 26 restaurants—ranging from the region’s emerging establishments to long-time favorites—will participate in Restaurant Week this year. The list includes a Puerto Rican-inspired menu at Industrial Eats in Buellton, which is donating 100 percent of the proceeds to hurricane relief efforts in Puerto Rico.
In addition to the offerings of the Valley’s restaurants, nine Santa Ynez Valley wineries and tastings rooms will offer wine and small bite pairings in their tasting rooms for $20.18. And special lodging deals are available at numerous hoteliers throughout the Valley.
This year’s list of participating restaurants, wineries, and lodging properties includes:
